Prayer Focus - April, 2007

Sunday - 1
Please pray for Valentin Burlaka, who oversees FEBC's operations in Chernovtsy, Ukraine. Also pray for his wife Svetlana and for their four sons.

Monday - 2
"Thank you for your broadcasts that encourage me at this difficult time in my life. My daughter Irina doesn't want to live because her only son Sasha was murdered. Please pray for Irina." Klavdia from Novosibirsk.

Tuesday - 3
"Thank you very much for your broadcasts. I can't manage without listening to FEBC programs and I thank God for you every day. Please pray for my four non-believing sons and their wives. Pray that God will touch their hearts and save them." Valentina from Novosibirsk.

Wednesday - 4
Nurlan Kanatbaev, our FEBC leader in Kazakhstan, asked us to pray for his mother, who is ill. "Please pray that God will fully restore her health and, what is more important, she will commit her life to Christ," said Nurlan.

Thursday - 5
Sergey from Moscow became a Christian because of FEBC's broadcasts. He has been living with HIV for several years now, but by the mercy of God he is still alive and can serve Him. Sergey maintains a diary, which we use in our weekly program in Moscow. Please pray that God will continue to use Sergey for His glory.

Friday - 6
Venedikt from Chernovtsy writes: "Dear friends, thank you for your broadcasts that encourage me in my difficulties. I like your programs, but I still have many questions and doubts about the Christian life. Please pray that Venedikt will believe in God and commit his life to the Lord."

Saturday - 7
Nadezhda Svisheva, an FEBC programmer in Khabarovsk, asked us to pray for her father. He is 80 years old and has pneumonia. Please pray that God will heal him.

Sunday - 8
Christ is risen! Pray that many Russian non-churched people will establish a relationship with God during this wonderful celebration of Christ's resurrection.

Monday - 9
FEBC Moscow staff need recorders so that our journalists can interview people on city streets. Please pray for financial support for this need.

Tuesday - 10
Valery from St. Petersburg listens to FEBC broadcasts and goes to church, but he can't believe that God forgives his sins. He said that he is a very big sinner and doesn't deserve forgiveness. "Please pray that God will heal my soul," asked Valery.

Wednesday - 11
Please pray for Russian President Vladimir Putin. Pray that religious freedom will continue in Russia and thousands will be saved through FEBC broadcasts.

Thursday - 12
"We listen to FEBC programs with our entire family. I have five children who enjoy children's programs. Recently I lost my job, and we don't have enough food and clothes for our children. Please pray that God will provide for our financial needs and help me find a good job." Kanat from Kazakhstan.

Friday - 13
Please pray for Tatiana Vaganova, an FEBC programmer in Moscow. She is young and talented, and listeners enjoy her programs. Many of them became Christians because of Tatiana.s broadcasts. Please also pray for her listeners.

Saturday - 14
Lubov from St. Peresburg recently began to listen to FEBC broadcasts and asked us to pray for her. Her husband had an accident and died. Lubov asks God to give her comfort and the joy of salvation.

Sunday - 15
"Thank you for your wonderful broadcasts that encourage me every day. I like to listen to your programs and pray with you. Unfortunately, my husband and my two daughters are non-believers. For many years they have been making fun of me because I am a Christian. Please pray for them. I want them to be saved." Elza from St. Petersburg.

Monday - 16
Please pray for Yuri Kolesnikov, FEBC manager in Novosibirsk. Pray that God will give him wisdom when he talks with non-believers about salvation. Also pray for listeners who became Christians through Novosibirsk's broadcasts.

Tuesday - 17
Galina from Chernovtsy just began to listen to FEBC broadcasts. "Dear friends, thank you for your amazing programs that led me to the Lord. I will continue to listen to your broadcasts and pray with you. My soul needs salvation, and my body needs healing. Please pray for me."

Wednesday - 18
Viktor Kurilenko, FEBC manager in Slavyansk, Ukraine, says, "I've talked to many listeners from numerous Ukrainian churches who became Christians because of FEBC programs. Now they serve God and preach the gospel to others who don't know the Lord." Pray that many more Ukrainians will find freedom in Christ through FEBC broadcasts.

Thursday - 19
Elena likes FEBC radio and regularly listens to it. She lives in Grozny, the capital of Chechnya. During the military actions her house was completely destroyed. Please pray that God will help her, and she will receive compensation from the government.

Friday - 20
Please continue to pray for Julie Frank, an American missionary in Ulan-Ude, Buryatiya, and for local Christians who work with her. Pray that many Buryats will accept Jesus as their Savior by listening the gospel in the Buryat language.

Saturday - 21
Please pray for Irina Chernova, Director of the FEBC News Center. She produces news about Christians and their life in Russia. Pray that God will give Irina wisdom and bless her work.

Sunday - 22
FEBC Moscow staff asked us to pray for financial support for remodeling their office. Please pray that God will provide the needed resourses.

Monday - 23
"Dear friends, we listen to your broadcasts with the entire family. Thank you for your wonderful programs, songs, and prayers. Please pray for my 10-year old daughter, Tanya. She has asthma and needs healing." Vladimir from Moscow.

Tuesday - 24
Our staff from Slavyansk, Ukraine, asked us to pray for pastor Anatoly who regularly participates in FEBC programs. He suffers from severe back pain. Please pray that God will fully restore his health.

Wednesday - 25
"Dear friends, thank you for your broadcasts that I listen to with my non-believing neighbors. I pray for FEBC preachers, broadcasters, singers, and for all your staff every day. There are many non-believers in my city who like your programs but don't want to live the Christian life. Please pray for Uzbek people. They need God." Ekaterina from Uzbekistan.

Thursday - 26
Nadezhda and her husband from Kemerovo region became Christians through FEBC broadcasts. They are members of a church now and tell everybody about FEBC radio. "Please pray for our children and grandchildren. They need to be saved," asked Nadezhda.

Friday - 27
Viktor from Ulan-Ude likes to listen to FEBC programs. He tried to follow Jesus several times but always returned to his former sinful life. "Please pray that God will give me a strong faith and the strength to become a good Christian," asked Viktor.

Saturday - 28
Please pray for Grigory Burlaka, an FEBC manager in Chernovtsy, Ukraine. Many Ukrainians accepted Jesus through FEBC broadcasts in this area. Pray that God will bless new believers and help them to be strong in the Lord. Also pray for Grigory's wife Anna and for their seven children.

Sunday - 29
FEBC staff in Chernovtsy had a meeting with listeners in a small village called Burshtyn. More than one hundred people came to the Culture Palace to see their favorite broadcasters and singers. Many non-believers repented of their sins. Please pray for them.

Monday - 30
Nurlan Kanatbaev, FEBC leader in Kazakhstan asked us to pray for Aikan and her 17-year old daughter. They came to know the Lord two years ago and accepted Jesus as their Savior. They have now stopped attending church and became involved in Jehovah's Witnesses. Please pray for them.
