Prayer Focus - May, 2007

Tuesday - 1
Please continue to pray for Nurlan Kanatbaev, FEBC leader in Kazakhstan. Pray that FEBC will receive broadcast frequency in Almaty city as soon as possible and begin to preach the Gospel to Kazakh people.

Wednesday - 2
Please pray for pastor Vitaliy and his family from Novosibirsk. They listen to FEBC programs regularly and participate in programs. Vitaliy and his wife Luba have 9 children. The oldest, 25-year old David is active in their church and helps people a lot in their needs. Recently, when he was delivering some groceries to a poor family, somebody shot him. David is in recovery now. Please pray that God will heal him.

Thursday - 3
Fedor from Novosibirsk asked us to pray for his healing. "Thank you, friends, for your broadcasts. Your programs bring peace and joy into my heart. Recently I became ill. Please pray that God will heal me."

Friday - 4
Please pray for Rev. Sergey Koleshnya, FEBC's programmer in Moscow. He is a talented actor and program host. Many Russians accepted Jesus as their Savior through Sergey's broadcasts. Pray that many more people will begin to listen to his programs and come to know the Lord.

Saturday - 5
Please pray for Victor Akhterov, FEBC RM's program director. He is beginning a new program series called Worldview, where he'll be talking about some of the most important issues of the day from a Christian perspective. Pray that his programs will help transform the Russian society.

Sunday - 6
Irina from Moscow writes: "Dear friends, thank you for your broadcasts. Unfortunately, my husband and my son are nonbelievers. Please pray that God will touch their hearts and they will accept Jesus."

Monday - 7
Vera from Moscow asked us to pray for her brother, Ivan, who is in the army. Please pray that God will watch over him and bring him home safely. Also pray for his wife who doesn't believe in God. Pray that she will begin to listen to FEBC broadcasts and accept Jesus.

Tuesday - 8
Nurlan Kanatbaev, FEBC leader in Kazakhstan, asked us to pray for Samal and her husband, Galymzhan. This young couple wants to get a divorce. Nurlan counseled Samal and mentioned about FEBC radio; she began to listen to our broadcasts. Pray that God will save their marriage.

Wednesday - 9
Please pray for Oleg Bindasov, FEBC manager in Moscow, as he is overloaded with office and programming responsibilities. Pray that God will continue to bless him and give him wisdom in his work.

Thursday - 10
Maria from Novosibirsk writes: "Thank you for your wonderful programs! Many of my friends and neighbors found freedom in Christ through FEBC broadcasts. Unfortunately, my son does not know Jesus. Please pray for him."

Friday - 11
Please pray for Viktor Kurilenko, FEBC manager in Slavyansk, Ukraine. Pray that God will continue to bless his program Life and for many listeners whose lives were changed through Viktor's broadcasts.

Saturday - 12
The head priest of the monastery in Chernovtsy, Ukraine, called our studio and talked to Grigory Burlaka, FEBC manager in Chernovtsy. He said that he listens to FEBC broadcasts regularly and likes it. After a long conversation, Priest Vasiliy asked to meet with Grigory. Vasiliy has many questions about Orthodoxy and evangelical Christianity. Please pray that God will bless their conversations and help Vasiliy become more open towards evangelicals.

Sunday - 13
Andrey from Stavropol region writes: "Praise God! I became a Christian because of your broadcasts. Now I understand that young people need Jesus. Before I began to listen to your radio station, I argued with my parents every day and liked to spend time with my non-believing friends. I was a big sinner, but now I am a new person in Jesus Christ. Please pray for my former friends. They also need to be saved."

Monday - 14
Please pray for Ludmila Akhterova, an FEBC's children's program producer, and for all children who listen to her broadcasts. Many of them have accepted Jesus through Ludmila's programs and they talk about FEBC radio to their non-believing friends. Pray that many more children will come to know the Lord through her programs.

Tuesday - 15
Please pray for Olga Savenkova, an FEBC volunteer in Slavyansk, who writes children's stories for radio programs. Pray that the Lord will give her more ideas to write interesting Christian stories, and children will accept Jesus through these stories.

Wednesday - 16
FEBC listener Anna from Khabarovsk writes: "Thank you very much for your programs; they give me spiritual nourishment. Please pray for my friend Dmitriy who is a non-believer but listens to your broadcasts. Pray that God will touch his heart and save him.

Thursday - 17
Please pray for Denis Kozlov, an FEBC programmer in St. Petersburg. Also pray for all listeners who became Christians through his broadcasts. Denis preaches the gospel in such a way that many young people begin considering Christianity as the answer to their life's questions.

Friday - 18
"Thank you for your broadcasts that I listen to with my grandmother. She is 81 years old but is a non-believer. Please pray that she will accept Jesus as her Savior and be saved." Anna from Moscow.

Saturday - 19
Please pray for Natalia Chetverina, an FEBC programmer in Moscow, and for many listeners who came to know the Lord because of her broadcasts. Natalia's program Hope for the Heart encourages people in their difficulties and helps them find freedom in Jesus Christ.

Sunday - 20
Please pray for Ludmila Paliy, an FEBC programmer in Chernovtsy, Ukraine. Her programs are about life with Jesus and His love to people. Listeners like to listen to melodious Ukrainian songs about salvation in Jesus and testimonies of people who recently became Christians. Many listeners accept Christ through Ludmila's broadcasts.

Monday - 21
Please pray for Rudi Wiens, FEBC Russian Ministries' Director. Rudi provides leadership for the entire ministry. Pray that God will continue to bless his work and also his family.

Tuesday - 22
Please pray for Elena Pasharina, host of several FEBC programs in St. Petersburg. Thousands of Russian families are being encouraged, inspired, and transformed through her programs. Pray that many more will be saved through Elena's broadcasts. Also pray for her family: her husband Pavel and their four children.

Wednesday - 23
FEBC listener Igor writes: "I am not a believer, but I like to listen to your broadcasts. I like to listen to people whose lives were changed and now they follow Jesus. I like your sermons and songs. I became better and kinder. Please pray that I will have courage to become a Christian."

Thursday - 24
FEBC listener Aleksandra from Rostov asked us to pray for her son Valeriy. He calls himself an Orthodox Christian but doesn't serve God. "Please pray that Valeriy will repent off all his sins and come to know the Lord," said Aleksandra.

Friday - 25
Alexandr Anisimov, an FEBC broadcaster from St. Petersburg, says: "Praise God for many young listeners who became Christians through my programs! Please pray that they will begin attending churches and grow in Christ."

Saturday - 26
FEBC listener Elena from Kirovograd asked us to pray for her mother Valentina and sister, Svetlana. They are alcoholics. "Please pray that God will change their lives, and they will find freedom in Jesus Christ," wrote Elena.

Sunday - 27
Please pray for Olga Denisova in St. Petersburg and for her programs for teenagers. Pray that God will give Olga wisdom and ability to talk to her young listeners in such a way that they will commit their lives to Christ.

Monday - 28
Svetlana Stepanenko, an FEBC programmer in Slavyansk, asked to continue to pray for her parents and relatives who are non-believers. "Please pray that God will change their hearts and save them," said Svetlana.

Tuesday - 29
Please pray for Nadezhda Svisheva, an FEBC broadcaster in Khabarovsk. She has many office and programming responsibilities. Also pray for new believers who accepted Jesus through Nadezhda's broadcasts.

Wednesday - 30
Our staff in Moscow needs a sound engineer for the studio. Please pray for that. Also pray that God will bless our Moscow broadcasters and their families.

Thursday - 31
Our staff in Khabarovsk asked us to pray for listener Olga. She heard about God from FEBC program and began to listen to our broadcasts regularly. Please pray that Olga will come to know the Lord and begin to attend church.
